Honda CVT transmissions are among the most reliable CVTs made — when they receive Honda HCF-2 fluid at the correct interval. Universal CVT fluids don't match the friction coefficient Honda's CVT belt requires. We use HCF-2 and nothing else in Honda CVT applications.
