R-1234yf refrigerant requires specific handling equipment that costs significantly more than R-134a equipment. Shops that don't have it can't legally recover R-1234yf — they either refuse the job or vent it illegally. We have certified R-1234yf equipment and handle both refrigerant types correctly.
